About

Aaron Jones is a guitarist and songwriter from Raleigh, North Carolina. His music ranges from acoustic singer/songwriter to blues-based rock, but all of it comes from the soul. Aaron started playing the guitar seriously at age 13 and he hasn't put it down since. He studied at School of Rock where he played in bands that covered the likes of AC/DC, Metallica, Kiss, Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, The Cult, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin and The Black Crowes. He was tapped to be in the SOR house band and played gigs at several local venues, all the while writing his own music.

Growing up, there was always music on in the house. He was raised on classic rock with some 90's grunge and alternative thrown in, and it has clearly influenced his style. When the pandemic hit Aaron was stuck at home without much to do but play his guitar and take classes online, which is how he came across a songwriting group for teens led by musician, producer, and Recording Academy member Phil Kanakis. Aaron developed his writing and composing skills while meeting online with the group of teens from across the country, which he still does every week, and eventually was able to take his song "Wasting My Time" to Nashville to record with award winning blues musician, producer, and Recording Academy member Justine Blazer.

And he's just getting started.
